Werribee

Tim Pallas was elected to the Victorian Parliament in 2006 and is the State Member for Werribee.

The seat of Werribee was created at the 2014 election as a result of changes to electoral boundaries in Melbourne’s growing western suburbs. It is a mix of suburban, rural and coastal areas with significant features such as the Werribee Zoo, Werribee Mansion and the State Rose Garden. It also includes agricultural areas and market gardens which produce vegetables for Melbourne. It is 377 sq km in size and expands out from Hoppers Crossing out towards Little River and Eynesbury. It has excellent natural attractions like the Werribee South Beach and the Werribee River. Werribee has a vibrant and multicultural community that is excellent for families.

Tim has worked hard for the local community in Wyndham, delivering the funding for the Regional Rail Link, new and upgraded schools, more than $1.8 billion for road upgrades, upgrade for Werribee Mercy including ICU facilities, a new police complex under construction, and the Level Crossing Removal Project currently underway will see three level crossings removed in the Werribee District. Recent funding has provided for a new Magistrate Court to be constructed and expansion of the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
