Wednesday 18 April 2018 WERRIBEE ELECTORATE COMMEMORATES ANZAC DAY 2018

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today encouraged the Werribee community to pause on ANZAC Day and give thought to all those affected by war and conflict.

A local service will be held at the Werribee Cenotaph at 6:30am on Wednesday 25 April, giving locals an opportunity come together and show their respect for our veterans, past and present.

Details about local commemorations and how to get there via public transport are available on the ANZAC Day 2018 online portal.

Tim Pallas also encouraged local organisations, schools or community groups holding public events to register their local activity on the website, to ensure more residents can attend and pay their respects.

With more than 200 services across the state, an interactive map will give an up-to-date guide of local commemorative activities.

The online portal also includes information about trading restrictions and holding a sporting event on ANZAC Day.

Community groups and local governments can access information to help plan, promote and deliver a local ANZAC Day service.
