HELPING WYNDHAM SPORTS CLUBS GROW

The Andrews Labor Government is giving grassroots sports clubs in Werribee the help they need to put local communities first and attract more members than ever before.
Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced seven clubs in the electorate of Werribee would receive grants from the latest round of the Labor Government’s Sporting Club Grants Program.
Successful clubs include:
Lightning Netball Club – $1000 for Uniforms & $1775 for coach training.
Wyndham Netball Association– $1000 for uniforms.
Wyndham Victory Netball Club- $1000 for uniforms.
Werribee Districts Football Club- $2000 for course attendance.
Wyndham Vale Football Club- $3600 for planning and strategy.
Manor Lakes Football Club- $999 for equipment including goal post padding.
Wyndham Vale Cricket Club- $1000 contribution towards cricket balls for this summer season.
Grassroots clubs are the heart of Victorian communities. They keep families connected, kids happy and healthy and communities safe. Our Sporting Club Grants Program is helping these important institutions grow.
Grants will cover the costs of new equipment like bats or balls, modern uniforms or development programs for coaches, players and officials.
Victoria is the sporting state, and it starts at the grassroots. Our $100 million Community Sports Infrastructure Fund is helping clubs all over Victoria update tired grounds and build the facilities they need.
Quotes attributable to Member for Werribee Tim Pallas MP:
“It is fantastic to see so many clubs in Wyndham apply for this round of Sporting Clubs Grants. I would highly encourage clubs to apply for the next round in 2017.”
“Athletes in Wyndham deserve the best facilities and the best equipment. We were elected to put people first, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
