COMMEMORATING THE SERVICE OF WERRIBEE VETERANS

The Andrews Labor Government is helping communities honour the sacrifice of our veterans, and giving their families the support they deserve.

Tim Pallas MP today announced new ways the Labor Government is honouring the legacy of Werribee veterans, and giving their families new opportunities to study.

The Victoria Remembers Minor Grant Program provides funding of up to $30,000 for projects which honour or commemorate the sacrifice of veterans, and educate Victorians about their service and contribution to our nation and state.

This could include new war memorials, commemorative events, public education projects and the preservation of wartime heritage.

Grants are also available to provide funding to organisations to assist with the educational needs of veterans’ dependants.

Our veterans gave us all a great gift. They’ve earned our support for the rest of their lives.

That’s why we’re working hard to protect their welfare and give their service the fitting commemoration it deserves.

Applications close 11 December 2017. For more information or to apply online visit dpc.vic.gov.au/veterans.
