ARCHITECT APPOINTED FOR WYNDHAM PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL

Better facilities are on their way for students at Wyndham Park Primary School with the appointment of an architect to design the school’s important upgrade thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced James Dean & Assoc Pty Ltd would design works to be undertaken at Wyndham Park Primary School to deliver upgrade of school playground equipment.

The Labor Government has provided $262,165.00 to go towards these works at Wyndham Park Primary School, providing students with new equipment to keep active and making sure local schools have the best facilities.

The Victorian Budget 2020/21 invests $70 million in the new Minor Capital Works Fund, which includes $20 million as previously announced as part of the Building Works Package.

Schools have been allocated funding to fast-track priority projects under the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning environments as well as the condition and character of schools.

In the past five years, the Victorian Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades – creating more than 10,000 construction jobs – and is now ahead of schedule its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.
