UPGRADED FACILITIES FOR WYNDHAM PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL NOW COMPLETE

Werribee students now have the facilities they need for a great start in life with the Andrews Labor Government completing an upgrade at Wyndham Park Primary School.

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced works are now complete on Wyndham Park Primary School’s $262,165 upgrade to deliver new playground equipment, including a modular play system that caters for the older students.

In the past eight years, the Victorian Government has invested $12.8 billion in building new schools and more than 1,850 school upgrades, creating around 17,400 jobs in construction and associated industries. The Victorian Government is ahead of schedule in its commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, with 75 new schools opening between 2019 and 2024.

While much of this funding went on new schools and significant upgrades to help meet increasing demand, this fund is about delivering the small projects that make a big difference while also supporting local jobs.

The Victorian Budget 2022/23 invested $41.8 million in the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning spaces as well as the condition and character of schools.
