STATE OPPOSITION CRITICISES UNDER-INVESTMENT IN WYNDHAM SCHOOLS

The State Opposition Deputy Leader and Education Minister James Merlino visited a number of schools in the Wyndham Area with the local MP Tim Pallas today, and heard first hand from teachers and school council representatives how underinvestment in their schools is starting to cause substantial difficulties.

At the Grange P-12 College in Hoppers Crossing, Mr Merlino inspected a gymnasium that has stood unused for over 18 months because of unresolved issues relating to the water services under the building.

For over 12 months the school community has repeatedly stated its concerns and frustrations at the delay and the State Government’s apparent lack of a solution to this issue.
