NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR VICTORIAN DISABILITY AWARDS

The Andrews Labor Government is searching for outstanding people who empower and support Victorians with a disability.

Nominations are now open for this year’s Victorian Disability Awards and called for people to help recognise those leading the way in creating a fairer, more inclusive community.

Member for Werribee, Tim Pallas said the Awards were in their seventh year, and recognised the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations that provide support, leadership, advocacy, services and education to improve the lives of people with disabilities living in Victoria.

Members of the public and organisations can make nominations across seven different categories, including some new categories being introduced in 2017.

You can nominate a person, team or organisation for a Victorian Disability Award. People from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and nominate.

Visit www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/disabilityawards for more information, or to nominate someone.

Nominations close on Thursday, 27 April 2017.
