NEW SCHOOL GETS THEIR FIRST PRINCIPAL

Families across Wyndham Vale are a step closer to having access to a great new local school, with the principal appointed to Wollahra Primary School (interim name), set to open in 2021.

Member for Werribee, Tim Pallas today announced Lisa Conibeer as principal of Wollahra Primary School (interim name), bringing 26 years of experience and passion as an educator. She started her career as a prep teacher and was most recently principal of Altona Green Primary School.

Over the coming months, Ms Conibeer will work with the local community, students and parents to build a school for the area that will deliver excellence and opportunity for students. Meet the Principal events will also be held later this year.

To establish the school with strong foundations, they will appoint talented and committed staff and build relationships with families and the community. Wollahra Primary School (interim name) is among 14 new schools to open in 2021.

The Andrews Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades and supporting more than 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.

The school building boom will have delivered 100 new schools by 2026, ensuring every child can access a great local school where they can achieve their best.
