HERITAGE GRANTS TO HELP PRESERVE LOCAL ICONS

The Andrews Labor Government is helping restore some of Werribee’s much loved heritage assets.

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced that round three of the Labor Government’s Living Heritage Program is now open.

The program is giving communities the resources they need to protect our treasured heritage.

Our heritage is a reminder of the broad scope of our history; it enriches our experiences; and reflects the community’s sense of cultural identity, sense of place and it creates a great sense of pride.

The $36.5 million Living Heritage Grants Program is the biggest boost to heritage assets in Victorian history, funding the repair and restoration of iconic venues all over the state including the RSL Institute in Bendigo, the Polly Woodside in Melbourne and the Reid’s Coffee Palace building in Ballarat.

Round 3 of the Living Heritage grants program opens 1 February and closes 13 April 2018. Successful projects will be announced mid-year.
