GRANTS TO HELP WERRIBEE CLUBS TAKE THE NEXT STEP

The Andrews Labor Government is giving Werribee sports clubs the tools and resources they need to take the next step.

Today, Tim Pallas MP encouraged Werribee clubs to consider applying for funding as part of the Labor Government’s $4.6 million Sporting Club Grants Program.

The Labor Government wants all Victorians to have easy access to great grassroots sport, no matter where they live, and the Sporting Club Grants Program does just that. Sports clubs are the lifeblood of Victoria’s suburbs and towns, where families get together and kids learn life’s valuable life lessons.

Werribee clubs will be able to apply for grants of up to $1000 for the most modern equipment, or team uniforms that give everyone a sense of great pride. Grants of up to $5000 are available for clubs to strengthen their operations or sustainability.

The Labor Government is helping community clubs provide an environment where families connect, kids strive to be the best they can be and beginners become stars.

Victoria is the sporting State, and the Labor Government wants it to stay that way. The Sporting Club Grants Program is just one of the Government’s initiatives that keeps kids happy and healthy, communities active and local clubs strong.
