CRIME PREVENTION BOOST A WIN FOR OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Local crime is set to be reduced and community safety to be improved after the Andrews Labor Government provided nearly $18,000 for a number of local organisations to fund their new projects.

Member for Werribee, Tim Pallas today congratulated the organisations for their hard work to make Wyndham a safer place.

The local organisations which will be supported by the funding includes:

Werribee Park Community Centre

Werribee 2nd Scouts

Werribee Community and Education Centre

The Labor Government’s Community Safety Fund is providing more than $800,000 across Victoria to reduce local crime and improve community safety through over 100 practical and innovative projects.

The Fund is part of the Andrews Government’s $5.8 million investment in community crime prevention, aimed at tackling crime and its root causes.
