Bang On Target For More Jobs In Melbourne’s West

Jobs and opportunities in Melbourne’s west continue to grow, with construction underway on an exciting new Target Australia development in Melbourne’s west.

Treasurer and Member for Werribee Tim Pallas and the Member for Tarneit Telmo Languiller today broke ground on Target’s new national headquarters in Williams Landing, which will accommodate 850 employees.

Target’s move reflects the flourishing economy in Melbourne’s western growth corridor and the development of the Williams Landing commercial centre.

The building will take up prime position adjacent to the Williams Landing Train Station and is a convenient proximity to Melbourne’s CBD, Geelong and the western suburbs, providing an easy commute for employees.

The area will support Melbourne’s future population growth. According to economists MacroPlan Dimasi, around 400,000 people expected to call the region home, and employment growth is set to exceed 13,000 jobs, by 2031.

Construction of the $37 million project is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
